Terms of use

Last updated

These terms apply when you use this website or play Blockline. By creating an account or playing, you agree to them.

Who we are

Blockline is provided by Phil Lavender, an individual based in the United Kingdom ("we", "us"). Contact: hello@blockline.city.

The game

Blockline is free to play. It is under active development, so features, balance and content change over time, and we may occasionally reset, migrate or rebalance game data where that is needed to keep the game working. We try hard never to lose a player's city, but the game is provided as it is, without a guarantee that it will always be available or free of errors.

Your account

You need an account to play. Keep your sign-in details to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. You must be at least 13 years old to create one. You may close your account at any time by emailing us.

Acceptable use

  • Do not try to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to the game, its servers or other players' accounts.
  • Do not use bots, scripts or automated tools to play or to scrape the service.
  • Do not give your city, your account or your display name content that is unlawful, hateful or abusive.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

Your cities and our game

The cities you build are yours to enjoy and share; screenshots and videos of your play are welcome. The game itself, including its code, artwork, text, characters and the Blockline name, belongs to us, and these terms do not give you any right to copy or redistribute it.

Advertising and third-party links

The website and the game show advertising, and link to other services such as Discord. We are not responsible for the content of adverts or of other websites. How advertising uses your data is explained in the privacy policy.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Otherwise, because the game is provided free of charge, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of game progress. If you are a consumer, you also have rights under UK consumer law that these terms do not affect.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; the date at the top shows when they last changed, and continuing to play after a change means you accept it. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes will be handled by the courts of England and Wales, unless the law of where you live gives you the right to use your local courts.
