Clearing and moving

Cities change their minds. The bulldozer clears land; the move tool picks a building up and sets it down somewhere better.

Demolition is free, but whatever you clear is gone, along with the jobs or homes it held. Moving is usually the better choice when a building is simply in the wrong place: you pay a relocation fee instead of the full price of a new one, and the building arrives exactly as it stood.

Move

Pick up a building and set it down elsewhere, as it stands. Click a structure to lift it, click again to place it; Esc or right-click puts it back. Roads, networks and agreement sites stay where they are.

Relocation fee: 25% of the build price (min $10)

Figures are the game's base prices. Upkeep is charged every in-game day, and construction bills are drawn from the city's stock of materials, steel, copper wire and timber (see farms and trade).
